About Chris

Hello, allow me to introduce myself

My name is Chris Brouillette (pronounced Brew-yet). I have lived here in South Louisiana since birth, and I have been a resident of Lafayette for most of those years. I have been married to my beautiful wife since 1995 and we have 3 wonderful sons. I am just a regular guy that loves to produce great photographs.

My goal in photography is to listen to what you want, deliver classic and timeless photographs, and capture moments that you will treasure for a lifetime. With several hundred weddings under my belt, the other thing I bring to the table is experience. Most of you have never been married and you don't know what to do or expect. That's ok. I will help you through this process and make it as smooth and seamless as possible. I have done everything from being a fly on the wall to directing the entire wedding day, and everything in between.

I started Brewyet Photography LLC in 2006 after years of learning, reading, schooling and practicing photography. I wanted to make sure that I knew what I was doing before starting a business. Me in a nutshell: I give the same attention to detail for a wedding with 30 guests or 300. We have done weddings in the Cathedral with 500 guests as well as in someone's home with 10 guests, and everywhere in between. When you hire me, you are hiring all of me.

For those who don't know: Brewyet is a phonetic representation of the pronunciation of my last name, Brouillette. Think of it like you're going to BREW the coffee, but not YET. The logo came about from my style of shooting — I almost always shoot sessions right before sunset, most of the time with the bride facing away from it. That is how I came up with the setting sun.
